We don't mean to brag, but many of the IFDA NY's former "Rising Stars" of Design have gone to make great strides and accomplishments in the design industry.  Let's just say we know how to pick them!  

With the 2016 Rising Stars of design gala event just two months away, we are making big plans.  To begin with, we are happy to announce that celebrity blogger/design extraordinaire Rio Hamilton will moderate our festive event.  

Each year, IFDA NY community and board members come together to vote on the interior and product designers whom they deem as the next "rising star" in our industry.  We want our community's input, so please weigh in. 

 Who Should You Nominate?   

Feel free to nominate both Interior Designers and Product Designers you think worthy to be considered for the 2016 Honorees.

Nominee requirements: Candidates should be in business a minimum of one year and maximum of 6 years, their business located in the tri-state area.  These folks are not required to be IFDA members, but they must not have won a similar award, and they are required to attend the event and present their design concepts  and work to the attendees.   

How To nominate your favorite designers: Please provide a short, (couple of sentences) on why you think they stand out, along with their....

2015 IFDA NY Rising Stars Celebration 

Turns Out A Crowd 

Hosted by the Lapicida Showroom in New York City!

Each Year the IFDA NY board and committee hand-picks Rising Stars from the industry, those they deem worthy of special mention for their stellar talent on the rise.  Take a look at this celebratory evening, all led by interior designer Justin Shaulis.  Despite a rainy night, the design community enthusiastically turned out for a celebration of talents in the industry at the gorgeous Lapicida showroom in the D&D building in New York City.  IFDA NY chapter honored talented rising stars in the community, which included three interior design teams and a product designer. A special thank you to Lapicida for making us feel welcome, and to our delightful MC interior designer Justin Shaulis for keeping us on our toes.  Shaulis added a fun and helpful element to the evening by reaching out into the crowd to solicit advice from veterans in design to those being honored.
