Hearst publishing sponsors this annual event which pairs designers with interiors. This year the gala opened to showcase three apartments at a newly refurbished residential building at 250 West Street in Tribeca. Hearst’ three premiere magazines collaborated with three acclaimed designers for each project: Elle Decor with Matthew Patrick Smyth, House Beautiful with David Rockwell/Rockwell Group and Veranda with Anthony Todd. Each apartment reflects the magazine’s unique aesthetic and point of view. And, to top off the project with even more creativity, the residences are being used as the setting for Short Films made in a Hearst partnership with 48 Hour Film Project.
Matthew Patrick Smyth is known for his blending of European and American traditions in classic settings.
The living room was painted a new hue from Benjamin Moore paint color, "Notre Dame".

standouts:
Smyth used a glass tile back splash in the kitchen, utilized a 19th Century baroque door behind the bed, and Hermes' wallpaper "Feuillage" in the study.
including hotels, Broadway sets and restaurants.
standouts:
Rockwell used jewel tone colors against furniture taken from a collection of inherited Dutch and Flemish family heirlooms, an unusual over sized, light fixture in the bedroom, and an interesting textured back splash tile in the kitchen set against Poggenpohl cabinetry.
Anthony Todd is known for creating sophisticated interiors, and in this expansive space he is imaginative, and cutting edge while he visualized an artistic couple who curates
their home through their love of travel and art.
standouts:
Unique, large scale interesting art work; paintings by
arisian artist Thomas Fougeirol.
